I love video games, and I recently decided to review them.
Method
I utilized the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) to compute the coefficients
for each criterion. I grade the games on a scale of 1 to 10 for each criterion, and then I multiply
the ratings by the coefficients. After adding all the products, I calculate the ultimate score for
each game.

Post Void
Release year: 2020
This was a good game. It felt refreshing after playing “serious” titles for some time. Nice and blinding graphics. The gameplay is fast-paced and fluid. I don’t understand why it’s too short, though. It took, like, 30 minutes to get all the achievements. I would definitely play more if it was longer.

A Way Out
Release year: 2018
The game alone is not very exciting, but it closes the gap it lacks with the cooperative gameplay. The most entertaining part of this game is not its main missions but the random stuff you do in between, like playing baseball, throwing darts, arm wrestling, etc. Be wary of the striking story ending, determined by your choices. Overall, it is not a mechanically advanced game, but it is enjoyable to play with someone together.

Atomic Heart
Release year: 2023
I don't know the reason, but there is a common hatred towards these kinds of games, yet I really enjoyed it. The game begins with breathtakingly beautiful scenery. I spent a lot of time just inspecting the environment and trying to grasp the atmosphere. I wasn't expecting it to take place in the USSR. I liked the universe they've created. Gameplay is very much like any RPG, which I enjoy a lot. The story is complex and has interesting twists. There are some plot holes, and characters have some weaknesses, but it's still fine. I completely understand the people not liking this game, but it satisfied the Skyrim craving I had for a time.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla
Release year: 2020
I have played Assassin's Creed games since the beginning, and Eivor (male) is one of my favorite assassins now. Despite the criticisms about how series have evolved over the years, I really like the Assassin's Creed series. I mean, you can still play in a stealthy way, like me. Graphics are amazing. The thing that I didn't like about this game was, ironically, its depth. It has so much content that I wasn't remembering the beginning after playing for tens of hours. I really liked the Isu story in this one. I can't really say the same thing about Dag.

Ghostrunner
Release year: 2020
A game with great atmosphere and music. Platforming is very fun. Once you get used to the controls, the game becomes fluid and feels really satisfying. One part I didn’t like about this game was the boss fights. They felt mechanically alright, but they could be much more diverse and difficult. They didn’t feel epic. Hoping that they will fix the issues, I would definitely try the following games in this series.

Dota 2
Release year: 2013
Warning: This game requires immense psychological strength to play. Not just for dealing with the monkeys on your team, but knowing that you will never truly understand this game. Deep layers of interactions make you question the most basic mechanics from time to time. Once you think you get the hang of it, IceFrog releases a breaking patch, and your favorite carry becomes a support. It is useful to know that Dota 2 is not a MOBA; it is a gamble. You risk your time to feel like a hero or really annoyed.

Dead Cells
Release year: 2018
A game with astonishing visual style and animations. I remember being surprised at how fluid this game was when I first saw it. Once you get the controls, which are carefully designed and easy to get into, the game just puts you in a flow state. It is a difficult game, though; it was really hard to complete 3BC and 5BC. Favorite weapon: Snake Fangs. Favorite power: Diverse Deck. Favorite mutation: Predator.

DOOM Eternal
Release year: 2020
Doom II is my first ever video game and is still one of my favorites. Thanks to the developers, I have the mobile version downloaded on my phone. While the new versions of your favorite game being released are amazing in and of themselves, these new versions are also fantastic. DOOM Eternal does not just successfully keep up with the great action-filled gameplay from DOOM (2016); it presents new mechanics and is a huge addition to the lore. Few games can make the player read the lore text you find around during the campaign. The soundtrack is amazing. If you struggle to achieve something, just listen to The Only Thing They Fear Is You by Mick Gordon and go conquer the sun.

Lies of P
Release year: 2023
This is a great soulslike game. Graphics are amazing, and so is the atmosphere. Detailly crafted world with a decent story, including a good game play. Overall, it was a chill experience. I expected it to be more difficult, but that is the trade-off, I guess. It feels like a combination of different FromSoftware games. I had fun.

Sifu
Release year: 2023
This one is probably the most unique game I have ever played. The aging mechanic brings a different perspective to the roguelike games. The learning curve is super high, yet so rewarding. It feels so satisfying to return to the first level—which you need to do—and destroy the enemies after playing for a while. The first hardest thing for me to grasp was the dodge button not being on B (or square). A lot of games have this one, and it becomes a habit after a while. The second one is the movement addition to the deflect/block mechanic. I tried to get used to it for a while, then I did, and then I realized it is not that much of a necessity. An amazing game if you are patient enough.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
Release year: 2019
I don't remember enjoying the combat in any game this much. It felt like I was dancing with the enemy during the fight. Since this is my first souls-like game ever, I spent a few hours, in the beginning, trying to understand what the hell was going on, but after getting used to the controls, I came to the conclusion that no other game has this feel of combat. It just feels epic; it makes your blood boil. The game proceeds to throw something new at you continuously, which keeps the excitement alive. The soundtrack and sound effects are also awesome. This game definitely deserves its Game of the Year title.
